Howdy! My name is Zeus. I ended up at MACC when my owner could no longer keep me where they were living. I was really sad and confused in the shelter, and it was tough for me there. Due to this they set a euthanasia day for me. Thankfully, this amazing rescue stepped in, and my nice foster took me home so I could decompress and settle in after all the stress.

After just a few days in my foster home, I started to feel safe and comfortable, and my goofy side began to shine. My foster mama says I’m a very sensitive boy, and I still need to work on my confidence so I can realize just how amazing I am! I can get a little wary of new people and might let out a small growl, but don’t worry — I wouldn’t even hurt an ant! I just get scared sometimes, and I think growling will help make the fear go away.

When my foster mom tells me I’m such a good boy, I feel like I’m on top of the world! She gives me lots of hugs and pets, and it feels so nice to be loved. I know that with time, I’ll start trusting more people so I can get all the cuddles and more lovins!

I’m perfect in my kennel — quiet as a mouse! I just lounge and enjoy my peaceful space. Plus, I’ve never had an accident! I know that outside is the place to do my business, and I’m always happy to go outside and run around in the fenced area, playing with the big ball and other toys. Tug and fetch are some of my favorite games, though I’m still working on returning the ball — I love to chase it but not return it, haha!

I’ve played with several other dogs in playgroups, and they called me the life of the party! I like to get rowdy sometimes, and I’m still a big, clumsy boy, but I sure do love a good romp with a friend who enjoys my playstyle. I’ve never been around cats, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them. But I do great with my human foster sister, who’s 7 years old. I can be a bit jumpy and clumsy, so I think kids her age and older would be best.

I still need to work on some manners, like not jumping and not grabbing the leash during walks. I’m very smart and treat-motivated, so if you have time to work with me, I promise I won’t let you down!
