Hi, I’m Sasha! My foster mom has a few nicknames for me, such as “Little Miss Wiggles”, “Tripping Hazard”, and “Potato”, but mostly I answer to Sasha. I was rescued from a shelter in Texas, and I don’t remember much about my time before that, but I’m around a year and a half old. My foster mom thinks I am part Beagle and maybe Bulldog because I’m short and stocky. Whatever I am, I’m 100% me! I am incredibly affectionate and LOVE people! My favorite place to be is wherever you are, and I try to be as close to you as I can. If you sit on the floor I will climb in your lap and roll over so you can scratch my belly. This is my happy place. Toys are pretty great too. Once I get my mouth on one, I want to show it off and my whole body wiggles because I am so excited about it! Playing fetch outside is my favorite game, I like to chase balls and sticks and bring them back to you so you can throw it again. And again. And again. It’s impossible to resist my adorable face when I look up at you expectantly. My foster mom tells me I’m the cutest when I do that. I like playing in the yard more than walking on a leash, but I don’t hate it. I’m more of a sprinter than a cross-country gal, so shorter walks are better for me. I like to run around with my foster fur siblings too, usually chasing my foster brother and trying to steal the toy from him. We typically leave each other alone unless we are playing, and my foster mom thinks I would like being an only dog so I don’t have to compete for attention. I don’t mind other dogs around though, I just need my personal space sometimes.

I have excellent manners and have never shown signs of resource guarding. I am cordial with new dogs and people, and I barely react when dogs bark at me while we are out walking. My foster mom says I am very smart too, sometimes too smart for my own good. I get bored easily, so I need lots of mental stimulation, whether that’s a puzzle feeding toy, learning new tricks, or playing in the yard. I have learned a few tricks since coming here, like “sit” and “lay down”, but “roll over” is the most fun to do. I am also good at “drop it” and “leave it”, which impresses my foster mom. What new things can you teach me? I should also mention that I take a medication called Apoquel for allergies. When I first got to my foster home, I was very itchy and had rashes on my belly, so they started giving me this medication and my itchiness went away! I may need to be on this forever, but I think it’s worth it since it makes me feel better. If you give me some peanut butter or a bit of cheese, I won’t mind if you sneak a pill in there. Now that you know how wonderful I am, won’t you fill out an adoption application so we can meet? I’d love to be your new best friend.

Love, Sasha
