Hi! I'm Patch. Sometimes my foster mom (FM) calls me Patchy. Every once in a while, like when I sneak into my foster sister's crate and steal her stuffies, FM throws out my full name, Patchrick.

Not to brag, but I'm a total celebrity in our neighborhood. I've noticed on all my walks, people will come out of their houses or pull over their cars to tell me how cute I am. Neighbors always come say hi with their babies, kids, and dogs, and I'm so happy to meet all of them on my walks. Speaking of walks, I love to take them and I'm the most well-behaved gentleman. I walk in the heel position and I check in with foster mom to make sure I'm doing a good job. I never pull on the leash unless I see a bunny. Even when I see those bunnies, FM says "leave it" and I leave them alone.

At home, I like to do whatever my human is doing. If FM wants to play, I'm super excited to play. I love toys and love to do zoomies. When FM has to work, I just chill in her office and am super quiet while she's on calls. When FM is ready to relax, I instantly snap into the best snuggle bug. And when it's ni-night time, I'm ready to sleep through the night. When FM lets me, I love to sleep with her on the bed or on the couch. I'm the most cuddly guy. I'm also really happy to sleep on a bed on the floor and even in my crate.

While we're on the subject of crates, I love mine! I rush right into my crate because all good things, like treats and peanut butter kongs, happen in my crate. I like to nap in there and relax. I was nervous about crates when I first got to FM's house, but then they gave me a special crate that makes me feel really cozy and secure. FM already bought one of these special crates to donate to my adopters, too, so I can still be in a comfy and cozy crate when I find my forever home.

I went to a board and train program where they taught me all kinds of cool stuff. I can do place, down, touch, heel, leave it, and am working on other commands. I'll pretty much do anything for a treat! The trainers worked with me with an e-collar, too, but FM hardly ever needs to use it anymore.

I absolutely adore people and even though I would rather be with my peeps as much as possible, I'm also getting really good at chilling at home when FM has to go somewhere. There's a camera by my crate where FM can watch me when she's not home, and she always tells me what a good boy I've been.

When FM is trying to make me look extra suave, I'll let her handle me, trim my nails, bathe me, and do whatever she needs to do to get me looking my best.

FM says I'm good at sharing. I don't resource guard and I let FM, my human foster auntie, and even my human foster cousins handle my food, treats, bones, and toys with no problems.

I'm a really sweet boy with my FM's niece and nephews and I adore playing fetch and tug with them. I'm a big goofball, so I might accidentally knock over a really small kid when I'm playing, but I've done a good job with kids 4 and up. My 10 year old foster cousin is my favorite. I might get confused between which toys are mine and which toys belong to the kids, if I end up having some human brothers and/or sisters, but FM says she's sure I'll learn those boundaries because I'm such a smart boy.

Speaking of siblings, I'd do great with a furry brother or sister, especially one that wants to run and play with me. If I'm your only pup, I'm also happy with that, but I would love to have some friends I can play with sometimes.

I just love to be with people and would love to have a family that wants to take me with them on adventures. I'd make a great cabin dog. Foster mom thinks I'd be amazing at dock diving, swimming, or agility work because I'm an athletic boy. I love to play fetch and will dazzle you with my zoomies any time you want to see them. I'd love to have a fenced in yard for those zoomies, but it isn't a deal breaker.
