Hi there!!! My name is Lionel, and I’d like to introduce myself. I’m 2 yrs and 3 months old, (yes the 3 months is important :) ), and I’m from a town in Texas where everyone seemed to know me. I was a loaner, and I spent my time roaming around and looking for squirrels to chase (more on squirrels later). Eventually, the law caught up with me, and they brought me to one of those shelters that we don’t like to discuss because dogs like me don’t leave those shelters with a loving family. My number was up a couple of times, but the shelter staff liked me so much and thought I was such a good boy that they advocated for me and got me the time I needed to decompress and begin to shine. Eventually I was picked up by the good people at Unbreakabull and given a new opportunity. Since arriving I’ve spent my time with two foster families and have met several different dogs and have gotten along with all of them. Recently I’ve even been introduced to a cat, and that’s going well too. I’ve even had time to spend with little kids, and I like them, but boy, do they seem to like me! My foster parents describe me as Mr. “Chill” or “confidently” relaxed; I’m known to surprise people by curling up next to them and watching a tv show together and that’s who I am, Mr. “Chill” with a good dose of affection. I also enjoy getting out for a good walk or a little running around in the backyard, but if I see a squirrel, hold on tight because here we GO! I should also mention that I’m house trained and do well with my sit and stay commands.
