Hello! My name is Lalo, I am a 3.5-year-old male Plott Hound (Pitt-Terrier mix) originally from the big state of Texas. I have been in Minnesota for the past 2.5 years of my life, spending time with two different but loving families that have put me through training of all sorts. Like most Plott Hounds, I am curious and have plenty of energy to run and play, preferably with other dogs who have energy like me. I am a light brown brindle color and have been told by many that I am very pretty.

When not running and chasing those pesky critters in my yard, I enjoy laying in the sun for warmth, and snuggling on the couch/bed if I’m allowed to. I am an independent personality and have been told by my trainer that I tend to think for myself rather than to follow another. I have had two years of training and have gotten much better at listening, walking on leashes, and socializing with other dogs, although I am still suspicious of dogs that dare walk past our home!

For most of my life, I have been around small children, but am not sure how I feel about cats, although I think having more company would be better. I am good around other dogs and often get to stay at my dog sitter’s home, who has three dogs of her own. I have my own dog bed and kennel, both of which I enjoy laying on when needing a break from the action. I have learned certain commands like “sit” and “stay” and do best when my owner shows that they are in control and that I am safe.

I am hoping to find a family with a big yard so I can run off my energy but also love going on walks/runs so that I can sniff the neighborhood to see who’s been on my walking routes. I do well with other people that come over and always enjoy the extra attention and scratching that I get. I am fully potty trained and don’t mind nudging or grunting at my owners if I need to go outside. Please apply to meet me today!!
