Meet your new best friend, Juno! Juno came to us suffering from untreated Lyme disease and was outside full-time. She was bald in several areas and had very red and itchy skin! She has now been treated and receives medicated baths once a week. Her fur is growing back, and the itching has dramatically lessened. She is also learning potty training and has done very well with a schedule.

Juno knows all sorts of fun tricks, including sit, sit pretty (on her hind legs), shake with both hands, down and stay/wait. She is so great on a leash; she would be a wonderful walking partner for anyone and doesn’t pull or chase anything! She has been excellent with other dogs, but not sure on cats. She really really loves toys, but stuffies and beds with edges are apt to go “POOF” and there will be stuffing everywhere. She hasn’t been able to tell us what happened, truly a mystery. She also really enjoys exercising her jaw, chewing on a Chuck It balls. Probably best to keep an eye on her with any toy.

She is very good in her kennel. She does get a little lonely and will cry if left by her chosen person. If you are her chosen person, she will be your most loyal friend ever! She will mostly give a whine or little yelp if she can hear you outside the room. When left alone, she is fine and keeps herself busy, she just likes to have people around.

Juno is very chatty when she comes out of her kennel. She will “woo” and howl at you to show just how excited she is! She will hop around and stand up while doing it, and it is all just pure joy of seeing people. She is very social and loves to meet people but she can get excited, so her being around very young children might be an issue because she might knock them over in a fit of joy. Otherwise, she is great with people and strangers.
